Just arrived in Cape Town and I am setting up for a longer stay. The scenery is unreal and the value is great, but I need to plan around load-shedding for my work calls. How do you all handle the power schedule: inverter, backup battery, or just picking a cafe or coworking spot that stays online? Also open to safe, walkable neighborhood suggestions.
Check the schedule app religiously and build your call times around it. Many coworking spaces and better apartment blocks have backup power, so that is worth paying for.
A small battery station that keeps your router and laptop alive covers most of the shorter cuts. Game changer for staying online through a slot.
